How to become ISTE Member ?
Any person of Indian origin or a foreign national holding a University Degree or diploma or an equivalent qualification and who is/had been employed on the teaching faculty of a recognised technical institution; or a person having a technical academic qualification working in a Technical/Research Institute or an industry and has interest in technical education in India is eligible for membership.
Distribution of Membership fee
The proportionate share of the Bank interest on the Life Membership fee shall be remitted to the Chapter on receipt of the satisfactory report of Activities and Audited Statement of Accounts

Major Benefits of becoming an ISTE Member is that you are joining an academic fraternity of over 1,24,000 strong professionals and eligible to participate in Chapter, Section and National Level Conferences, Workshops and other activities of your academic interest etc.
Membership cards & Certificates
All the Life Members will be issued plastic laminated photo cards.
Types of Membership
1) Life Time Membership
A person who satisfies the eligibility critera as mentioned in clause 2 (iii) may become a life member of ISTE by paying the admissible Life Membership fee as decided from time to time, by the Executive Council.
2) Institutional Membership
The Executive Council or an office bearer of the Society authorized by the Executive Council for this purpose, may on application in the prescribed form admit recognized Institutions
3) Student Membership
Any student (of full time/part-time course) enrolled in an AICTE approved Technical institution is eligible for student membership.
Revision of Membership Fee as per GST
After implementation of Goods & Service Tax Act (GST) by the Govt. of India, the GST Act is applicable on ISTE and GST is to be charged on all membership fee and other receipts also. The revision of membership fee and other receipts/ charges will be increased by the amount of GST chargeable at applicable rates. Hence all the membership fee has to be paid along with GST. The fees structure stands revised w.e.f. 01-01-2018
P.S : – Student Membership Fee includes Rs. 50/- as admission Fee. Mode of payment for above is DD in favour of ‘ISTE’ payable at New Delhi.
